On Wednesday February 14, Bierock is hosting Beer Bingo featuring Madison’s own Vintage Brewing Company.
That’s right, we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day in a way appropriate for Bierock. Just don’t expect a quiet, intimate evening.
After all, it just made sense to feature a brewery that makes beers like McLovin, Bock’s O-Chocolates and Dedication.
Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts roughly two hours.
It’s free to play. Customers will receive a bingo card, good for several rounds. Prizes include various beer-related giveaways, brewery SWAG, free pours and other esoteric awards like B-movie DVDs and erotic novels.
A representative from Vintage will be on hand to hand out samples, answer questions and socialize during the event.
Featured on Feb. 14 will be at least six beers, including a seasonal offering. But we’ll make sure to have something light, something dark, something hoppy and something fruity.
Here’s the lineup and brewery descriptions for what we know what will be on tap…
- McLovin, Irish Red Ale—Our famous red ale boasts a deep copper color and smooth, toasty caramel malt character, with just a touch of roasted barley in the finish for an exceptionally easy-drinking pint.
- Bock’s O-Chocolates, Chocolate Doppelbock—Our decadent chocolate bockbier is brewed with organic cocoa powder and chocolate malts, then aged on freshly-toasted organic cocoa nibs and bourbon-soaked vanilla beans, for a delightfully rich and authentic chocolate flavor. Heavenly dessert in a glass!
- Dedication, Belgian Dubbel—Brewed in the tradition of the Trappist brewing monks of Belgium- featuring aromas of stone fruit, ginger, anise, and raisins and a bold, complex depth of malt flavor.
- Woodshed, Oaked IPA—Who’d have thought a hybrid English/ American oaked IPA would become our flagship and best selling beer? Walking the line between tradition and invention, inviting floral/citrus hop aromas and vanillin-rich French oak notes accent this perfectly balanced, distinctive India pale ale.
- Scaredy Cat, Oatmeal Stout—A hearty and full-bodied dark beer with rich malt flavors of molasses, cocoa, caramel, and espresso.
- Bee’s Knees, Honey Cream Ale—The humble cream ale has a history intertwined with the American workingclass. We give ours a rural twist by brewing with oats, flaked maize, & WI clover honey. Mildly sweet, light and refreshing, & with a touch of honey in the finish- the perfect way to toast a busy day!
Beer Bingo takes place the second Wednesday of every month at Bierock as part of our Hump Day at Bierock series of events. Here’s the schedule…
