The Masters at Bierock: Pimento Cheese & Humble Forager

A tradition unlike any other: Pimento cheese sandwiches during The Masters.

From Thursday April 6 through Sunday April 9, Bierock will serve the iconic pimento cheese sandwiches that are sold at the Masters and have become part of its lore.

It’s simple yet delectable. We spread our popular house-made pimento cheese—the same we serve with our pretzels—between two slices of bread. The perfect finger food.

Included are chips and a pickle.

For one day only, we put a twist on the pimento cheese sandwich by offering it as a grilled cheese. Our typical Thursday food special is a grilled cheese and soup combo with a cup for $7.25 or bowl for $8.25.

Meanwhile, the golf tournament will be on our big projection screen TV. So while you’re at Bierock, you can pretend you’re at Amen Corner at Augusta.

Bierock has been making its pimento cheese sandwiches during the Masters for three years, but new in 2023 we’re also featuring Humble Forager Brewery and specifically its golf-themed Pin Seeker Pilsner.

According to the brewery, “This brew is a collaboration with one of the best pilsner makers in all the land, Fair State Brewing Cooperative. Pin Seeker was inspired and dreamt up during many rounds with our favorite golf mate, Jack Lester of Jack’s Bottle Shop. It is meant to be enjoyed with your longtime friends, new acquaintances and cherished loved ones.”

Additionally, we’ll also be featuring two more beers by Humble Forager. They include Hidden Headwaters red lager and Coastal Sunshine version 17, a fruited sour with grapefruit, dragonfruit and pineapple.

Representatives from Humble Forager will be at Bierock giving away some swag during the opening round on Thursday April 6.

We’ll also be serving Azalea cocktails, named after the flower prominently seen on the golf course. Made with vodka, pineapple juice, lemonade, grenadine and lemon slice garnish, it’s the perfect pink tribute to spring.

Don’t forget that the first and second rounds will be wrapping up during Happy Hour at Bierock on Thursday Apr. 8 and Friday Apr. 9. From 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., customers will get $1 off all full-size drinks.

So stop on by, watch The Masters and grab some food and drink. We’ll have the rest of our full food menu available during the event.

Scottie Scheffler is the reigning champion, but he’ll have plenty of competition to win back the Green Jacket this year.

Bierock opens at 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and 11:00 a.m. on weekends.

Located at 2911 N. Sherman Ave., Bierock is part of the Northside TownCenter and across the street from Warner Park.
