On St. Patrick’s Day in Madison, we hit the trifecta at Bierock: Irish-Inspired Beer, Corned Beef & Basketball.
On Tuesday March 17, Bierock bar and restaurant is the place to be for food, drinks and entertainment.
food & drinks
To start, we will be bringing back our Reuben Bierock for a limited time.
Stuffed with corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese, it’s all wrapped inside a freshly-baked dough and served with a side of Russian dressing dipping sauce.
As for drinks, we’ll be featuring a couple of Irish-inspired beers.
First up is Irish Coffee Stout from Lift Bridge Brewing in Minnesota.
Inspired by it’s namesake, a toasty and creamy Milk Stout is blended with whiskey barrel aged Imperial Stout before it’s finished off with responsibly sourced, locally roasted coffee from Five Watt Coffee.
Next is local favorite McLovin, an Irish red ale by Vintage Brewing Company that was a bronze medal winner at the 2012 World Beer Cup and silver medal winner at the 2014 World Beer Cup.
Our famous Irish red ale boasts a deep copper color and smooth, toasty caramel malt character, with just a touch of roasted barley in the finish for an exceptionally easy-drinking pint.
We’ll also have Jameson Irish whiskey on special for both shots and mixers as well.
basketball
On the entertainment side, it’s time for March Madness on Bierock’s big projection screen TV.
The NCAA basketball tournament begins with First Four games starting at 5:30 p.m.
We’ll also have NIT tournament action on the small screen.
