If you want to find a good Doppelbocks in Madison, Bierock bar and restaurant is the place to go.
We recently took to Facebook Live for one of our “Beer Features” to highlight Blonde Doppelbock by nearby Capital Brewing in Middleton.
Capital blonde doppelbock
One of the best things that Capital does is its lagering program, especially variants of the bock beer like their Maibock or Doppelbock.
Admittedly, Bierock is probably ahead of the curve when it comes to tapping Blonde Doppelbock.
The beer is likely its most desirable in late winter when people are yearning for warmer temperatures and looking to get away from roasted malts and experience blonde beer once again.
No matter the time of year, however, this beer is still solid. It’s filled with malty flavor that will leave you wanting to take sip after sip.
Checking in at 7.8% ABV, it’s served in a goblet, befitting its robust yet approachable body.
Blonde Doppelbock is a limited release from Capital Brewery and not part of its year-round lineup.
The tap list at Bierock
Bierock has 24 constantly rotating tap lines. So make sure to come and get one of the best doppelbocks in Madison before it’s gone.
Beers are likely to return to Bierock’s tap list, but it may be months between appearances.
One more suggested way to try Blonde Doppelbock is at their annual BockFest celebration, held every February.
Bierock is located at 2911 N. Sherman Ave., part of the Northside TownCenter, across the street from Warner Park.
