On Wednesday April 9, Bierock is hosting Beer Bingo featuring Wisconsin’s own Lion’s Tail Brewing Co.
Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts roughly two hours.
It’s free to play. Customers will receive a bingo card, good for several rounds. Prizes include various beer-related giveaways, brewery SWAG, free pours and other esoteric awards like B-movie DVDs and erotic novels.
A representative from Lion’s Tail will be on hand to hand out samples, answer questions and socialize during the event.
Featured on Apr. 9 will be at least six beers on tap, including a seasonal offering. But we’ll make sure to have something hoppy, something light, something malty and something fruity.
Here’s the lineup and brewery descriptions for what we know what will be on tap…
Boundary Waters, Canadian Lager—Crisp, clean, and refreshingly nostalgic. Soft malt sweetness from Canadian-grown pale malted barley and a perfectly balanced Cascade hop finish. Lagered cold – as frigid as the crystal clear Boundary Waters.
Juice Cloud, New England IPA—Brewed to minimize bitterness, and maximize delicious juicy Citra Hop flavors. Big doses of oats and wheat deliver nice mouthfeel and leave a lovely cloud of haze. Double dry-hopped with Citra hops leaving a clean, tropical fruit, juicy finish.
Days Like This, Oak-Aged Irish Red Ale—This Irish Red Ale breaks from traditional style after conditioning on Irish Whiskey-soaked toasted oak spirals (Jameson). Gentle toasty malt sweetness up front with a dry finish. Subtle caramel, fruit and oaky complexity comes forward as the beer warms. “When you don’t need to worry, there’ll be Days Like This.”
90 Red, Vienna Lager—Exceptionally smooth & malty. Deep red color based on “Number 90” the signature paint color used by Appleton’s Pierce Mfg on their custom emergency vehicles. Highlights two different Vienna Malts.
Violet, Sour Ale with Blueberry—Simple,fruity and tart – this classic Berliner Weisse was brewed with Pilsner malt and malted wheat and then kettle-soured to a moderate tartness. Lightly fruited on bright blueberries for a “violet” finish.
Uecker on the Radio, Double IPA–Five years ago when we collaborated on this Hazy Double IPA for the 1st time with Madison’s Young Blood Beer Company- we wanted to capture that vibrant feeling you got while listening to the legendary Bob Uecker narrate the sounds of summer. Featuring Wai-iti, Sabro, and Lemondrop hops, bringing tropical fruit notes balanced with lemony sweet citrus. This smooth-finishing IPA was brewed to minimize bitterness. Portion of proceeds to Make-a-Wish Wisconsin in honor of Mr. Baseball.
Beer Bingo takes place the second Wednesday of every month at Bierock as part of our Hump Day at Bierock series of events. Here’s the schedule…
