We’re celebrating the Winter Solstice with live music by Uncle JIM & Bitter Tiger at Bierock on Saturday December 21 and ushering in the holiday season.
Help us say hello and goodbye to the shortest day of the year. They only get longer from here on out.
The performance starts at 8:00 p.m.
So what can you expect?
Uncle JIM is a Madison folk pop act formed with a common bond for music that makes you feel at home. The group is led by Janie Triebold who is both the lead singer and creative inspiration to Uncle JIM’s folk-pop sound.
The musicians around her help build on the intricate dynamics and subtle messages of her singer/songwriter style. With songs that can cause tears to form or make feet start a tappin’, one is bound to find something to connect with when sitting down to listen.
Bitter Tiger, meanwhile, is the vessel of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Worden, whose spiny fingerstyle guitar and cosmic harmonies serve to illustrate the influence of the rocky canyons, forests, and open sky that surround him in his home of Wisconsin.
There is no cover charge for the performance.
Bierock is your source to feature some of the best local musical talent in the greater Madison area.
What is a humble comfort food restaurant and bar by day, transforms into a local music club by night. It’s the scene to catch emerging and live, local talent.
Bierock is happy to offer a venue for live music for our customers and provide an outlet for the creative community.
