On Wednesday December 11, Bierock is hosting Beer Bingo featuring Surly Brewing Company.
Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts roughly two hours.
It’s free to play. Customers will receive a bingo card, good for several rounds. Prizes include various beer-related giveaways, brewery SWAG, free pours and other esoteric awards like B-movie DVDs and erotic novels.
A representative from Surly will be on hand to hand out samples, answer questions and socialize during the event.
Featured on Dec. 11 will be at least six beers, including a seasonal offering. But we’ll make sure to have something light, something dark, something hoppy and something malty.
Here’s the lineup and brewery descriptions for what we know what will be on tap…
- Winterize, Winter Lager—Winterize is an amber-hued winter lager with toasty notes of biscuit and caramel. From the beauty of the first snowfall to the towering mountain of April parking lot sludge, it’s a full-flavored celebration of our home state’s longest season
- Mosh Pit Hazy, Hazy IPA—A tropical fruit hop bouquet with an electric pineapple note welcomes you to the Mosh Pit. Juicy without being cloying, hazy without being murky, our flagship hazy IPA is always worthy of an encore.
- Velvet Jam, Sour Ale—Sweet, tart, and remarkably smooth, Velvet Jam layers intense waves of cherry and raspberry flavor over an agreeably sour base.
- Furious, IPA —The beer that built Surly. Aggressively hopped and citrusy, but with a chewy, caramel backbone. Surly is called “Surly” due to our inability to find a good beer in town. Furious is one of the first beers we brewed to rectify that situation. The rest is history.
- House Blend, Nitro Coffee Ale—Surly Brewing and Peace Coffee came up together in Minneapolis. Both brands were at the forefront of the coffee and craft beer renaissance of the past twenty years, and now our paths finally cross with House Blend Nitro Coffee Ale. A shared dedication to our local community and product excellence comes through in every rich, roasty sip, smoothed out on nitro with creamy notes of burnt sugar, vanilla, and toffee.
- Before I Die, Lager—Crisp and crushable, Before I Die lager centers an approachable balance of hops and malt. It’s the beer you’ve been waiting for your whole life.
Beer Bingo takes place the second Wednesday of every month at Bierock as part of our Hump Day at Bierock series of events. Here’s the schedule…
