Beer Bingo with Young Blood & Saturday Beer Co.

On Wednesday May 8, Bierock is hosting Beer Bingo featuring Young Blood and Saturday Beer Co.

The two breweries have the same ownership, a working partnership and share resources.

Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts roughly two hours.

It’s free to play. Customers will receive a bingo card, good for several rounds. Prizes include various beer-related giveaways, brewery SWAG, free pours and other esoteric awards like B-movie DVDs and erotic novels.

A representative from Young Blood and Saturday Beer Co. will be on hand to hand out samples, answer questions and socialize during the event.

Featured on May 8 will be at least six beers, including multiple rotating offerings. But we’ll make sure to have something light, something hoppy and something fruity.

Here’s the lineup and brewery descriptions for what we know what will be on tap…

  • Peacocks Are Bastards, Young Blood, Hazy India Pale Ale w/ Vista, Vic Secret, Simcoe and Mosaic Lupomax—Have you ever arrived to a party looking your absolute best, only to have your hard-earned spotlight stolen from you? Yeah, we hate that too. The shoes, the shirt and the scent that brings it together, all going unnoticed because some selfish, peacocking haters can’t share some of that shine. Luckily, we’re here to help combat some of these frustrations, and have made a super chill hazy IPA, double dry hopped with, the tropically resinous dance party of Simcoe, Mosaic and Vic Secret. The peacock of this whole vibe though is Vista – a new hop with braggadocious stone fruit announcing its presence in a way to let you know you’ll live to fight another day.
  • She’s Fox Valley Rich, Young Blood, Saison with Buckwheat cold steeped with Rishi Cinnamon Plum tea—This saison uses buckwheat, which in our opinion is a underutilized grain. It lends a spicy note similar to rye while adding a richer body and with velvety smooth smoothness that compliments the cinnamon and plum from the Rishi tea cold steeped in to the saison.
  • Board Game Voyeur, Young Blood, Amber Ale with Centennial hops—Right, so I guess we’ll go first. We like to watch & there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. It doesn’t really matter if it’s strangers or friends, as long as there are clear rules & boundaries that all parties follow. To be honest, the more the merrier. We know it’s a little unconventional but, it’s 2024 right? You know in Jurassic Park they find that mosquito in that amber & then make a baby dinosaur that gets all mad at those people? Well that’s what we did too. Not with the dinos or Jeff Goldblum (we wish) but instead we made a dope citrus froward amber beer that’s basically a liquid theme park.
  • Unfiltered Pilsner, Saturday Beer Co., Pilsner—In the great American tradition of America, we aren’t really trying to filter things because freedom. So, we decided to make our Pilsner, an unfiltered American pils because we want you to America as hard as you possibly can. From this can. Enjoy that golden bliss.
  • Sweep the Leg Johnny, Young Blood, Hazy Pale Ale double dry hopped with Summit and Simcoe—Here are some fun facts about Johnny Lawrence the prototypical bully from 80’s classic, The Karate Kid. The character’s original name was Donald Rice. William Zabka who portrays Johnny has a second degree green belt in Tang Soo Do. This light drinking pale ale is hazy with heavy notes of resinous orange and tangerine, with fresh pine and hints of the tropics.
  • Farmer’s Market: Pineapple and Peach, Saturday Beer Co., Fruited Sour—Pineapple, Peach and Ginger.
