Public Domain Movie Night: My Dear Secretary

The first Tuesday of every month is Public Domain Movie Night at Bierock.

On Tuesday April 4th, Bierock will host a screening of My Dear Secretary, a romantic comedy from 1948 starring Kirk Douglas.

In the film, Douglas’ character marries his secretary.

A brief synopsis from Turner Classic Movies sets the scene…

Owen Waterbury, bestselling novelist, recruits aspiring writer Stephanie ‘Steve’ Gaylord as his latest of many secretaries. The stars in her eyes fade when she finds she is to work in his apartment, with a constant parade of eccentric visitors and slapstick provided by klutzy roommate Ronnie. Moreover, Waterbury’s idea of work looks a lot like play, his interest less in books than in blondes.

Movie start time is at 8:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

Bierock’s full food and drink menu are available the night of the event.

Located at 2911 N. Sherman Ave., Bierock is part of the Northside TownCenter and across the street from Warner Park.
