As part of American Craft Beer Week, Bierock is hosting Surly Beer & Bikes with Black Saddle Bike Shop on Friday May 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The idea is simple. We’re featuring draught beer from Surly Brewing Company and bicycles from Surly Bikes.
Mitch and Billy from Black Saddle right down Sherman Ave. will have a couple models from Surly to display and will be available to supply information and answer questions.
In addition, we’ll have a couple kegs of Surly beer available at Happy Hour pricing all night long, including the seasonal release Havoc Machine IPA.
The lineup with descriptions from the brewery…
- Havoc Machine—West Coast IPA. 7.5% ABV. Get caught up in the gears of this bitter and clean West Coast-style IPA.
- Coffee Bender—Brown Ale with coffee. 5.5% ABV. Refreshing like an iced coffee, aromatic like a bag of freshly roasted beans, and satisfying like your favorite beer.
- Hell—Lager. 5.0% ABV. A pale, gold lager with bready malt aromas and flavors, floral hops, and a balanced finish.
Customers are encouraged ride their bike to Bierock and bring their Surly bike if they have one but all bikes are welcome.
Surly Beer & Bikes is part of a series of six straight days of events during American Craft Beer Week. See the full lineup of events and special tappings here.
Bierock’s full food and drink menu will be available the night of the event.
At the time of publication Bierock is currently scheduled for 75% indoor capacity with additional full outdoor seating available.
Located at 2911 N. Sherman Ave., Bierock is part of the Northside TownCenter and across the street from Warner Park.
Bike parking is located at various locations across the shopping center, adjacent to Habanero’s, Goodwill, Benvenuto’s, Willy Street Co-op, Lakeview Library and Walgreen’s.
