The first Thursday of every month at Bierock is Grateful Dead Night, but February 6th is an extra special version.
On this date, we’ll be tapping three kegs of beer from breweries inspired by the iconic band, each one a unique and different style of beer.
Each of the featured beers will be available at Happy Hour pricing all day long.
The lineup, including their official brewery description…
terrapin wake & bake
Black as night, this coffee stout is thick, rich and full of real coffee flavor. Brewed with a special blend of beans from all over the world developed and roasted specifically for Terrapin by our friends at Jittery Joe’s Coffee right here in Athens, Ga.
dogfish head hazy ripple
Inspired by the Grateful Dead’s beloved “American Beauty” album, American Beauty Hazy Ripple IPA is an unfiltered India Pale Ale brewed with spelt – an ancient heirloom grain that contributes earthy notes and a natural haze – that’s then dosed with a special yeast variety to accentuate hop aromatics.
Hinterland kozmic kolsch
Inspired by the Grateful Dead, we know there are a lot of great beers out there. Go ahead and try them. We encourage it even! We’ll still be here in the end. Our 24th anniversary beer: Kozmic Kolsch.
Typically our drink specials on “Thursdays Rock at Bierock” run from 8 p.m. to midnight, but on this date they’ll be available from open to close, 3 p.m. to midnight with Happy Hour pricing.
Starting at 8:00 p.m., however, we’ll be streaming a playlist of music inspired by the Grateful Dead just like we always do.
“Thursdays Rock at Bierock” is a weekly promotion with each day of the month featuring a different band:
- 1st Thursdays: Grateful Dead
- 2nd Thursdays: Phish
- 3rd Thursdays: String Cheese Incident
- 4th Thursdays: Umphrey’s McGee
- 5th Thursdays: Talking Heads
So come on out to Bierock to taste some heady brews on Tues. Feb. 6 as we roll away the dew.
The full food and beer menu will be available with 24 tap lines of craft beer.
Bierock is located at 2911 N. Sherman Ave, part of the Northside TownCenter and across the street from Warner Park.
