Bierock’s popular Tailgate Bierock is about to return.

A football season staple, the Tailgate Bierock is stuffed with beer bratwurst, cheese curds, sauerkraut and served with a mustard dipping sauce on the side.

Available only during Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers games, the Tailgate Bierock will make its 2019 season debut on Thursday Aug. 29 during the Packers preseason finale and again the following day for the Badgers season opener.

Just like last year, Bierock is partnering with local businesses to bring the Tailgate Bierock to life.

In a nod to Madison’s northside, the brats will be sourced from neighboring Beef Butter BBQ and master sausage maker John Lehman, formerly of Jim’s Meat Market, where last year’s supply was procured.

And just like last 2018, the cheese curds will once again be obtained from Carr Valley Cheese in Middleton.

Typically the Tailgate Bierock will be available on Saturdays and Sundays, but it will be on the menu whenever the Packers and Badgers play.
