On Friday Jan. 25 and Saturday Jan. 26, Umphrey’s McGee returns to the state of Wisconsin, playing two shows at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee.
To celebrate this occasion, we reached out to Boulder Beer Company in Colorado to acquire Nothing Too Fancy Pale Ale, inspired by our favorite progressive rock band.
So at Bierock we’re holding an Umphrey’s McGee Pre-Party on Thursday Jan. 24 in which we’ll be selling cans of Nothing Too Fancy Pale Ale on special for $3 for one day only.
This is a Wisconsin exclusive. Bierock will be the only bar in the entire state with access to cans of Nothing Too Fancy. We got two cases sent our way and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
Doors open at 3:00 p.m. for Happy Hour. Then from 8:00 to Midnight, we’ll crank Umphrey’s up a little louder to get ready for the run of concerts over the weekend.
On the food menu that day will be our sought-after Grilled Cheese, both our Garlic Grilled cheese for $3 and our Chef’s Special for $4.
Thursday Jan. 24 just so happens to coincide with our regular “Thursdays Rock at Bierock” series in which we feature the music of a different artist each month:
- 1st Thursday: Grateful Dead

- 3rd Thursday: String Cheese Incident
