Nebraska Hospitality Day

Hello Huskers fans!

We know you’re one of the best traveling fan bases in college football, and as such, we want to invite you to Bierock in Madison, Wis. for Nebraska Hospitality Day on Saturday Oct. 6 for the Badgers-Cornhuskers game.

We’ve reached out to our beer distributors to get a couple kegs you might recognize.

First up is Nebraska Brewing Company India Pale Ale from Papillon, Neb.

Then we’ve also got a barrel of Justifiable Hopicide, a New England style IPA, from Blue Blood Brewing Co. right in Lincoln.

Hope you like hops.

But don’t worry, we’ve got 24 tap lines with many other styles including lagers, stouts, porters, wheat beers, Belgians, sours and more.

And yes, we’ve got bierocks. The only ones in Wisconsin as far as we can tell. We know you call them runzas, but as you also know, another company has that name trademarked. Whatever you call them, they’re meat pies wrapped in a freshly-baked dough.

We do a pretty good Wisconsin spin on a bierock on game days that’s stuffed with bratwurst, cheese curds and sauerkraut called the Tailgate Bierock.

A little about us. Amanda is one of our owners, and she is of Volga-German heritage. The classic bierock is a family recipe that’s been passed down from generations. Her mother grew up in tiny Grafton, Neb.

So yeah, we’ve got Nebraska roots.

We’re Badgers fans now, so don’t be surprised if we’re wearing Wisconsin gear on Game Day. But don’t worry, you’ll get nothing but good-natured ribbing from us. We’ll bond over the color red.

That’s our pitch. Come on over before or during the game and spend the day with us. We’re about six miles from Camp Randall Stadium, and with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff, we’re within driving distance.

Our Facebook event is here. Feel free to share and spread the word.

We’re open from 10:00 a.m. to midnight, and we’ll have the game on our big projection screen.
