Finding the Best Beer in the Home Talent League

With our owner having written a book on Wisconsin’s Home Talent League, it only made sense we’d celebrate the venerable baseball circuit with a special event.

On Friday August 3 the annual All-Star game takes place next door at Warner Park. So that particular day, we thought we’d find the best beer in the Home Talent League.

Four of the region’s breweries are represented, one from each section of the HTL:

  • Northern Section: Italian Plum Berlinerweiss by Octopi in Waunakee
  • Eastern Section: Ten Pin Pale Ale by Cercis Brewing Company in Columbus
  • Southeastern Section: Scurvy IPA w/ Orange Peel by Tyranena in Lake Mills
  • Western Section: El Andy IPA by Hop Haus in Verona

Customers can place their vote by buying a beer. The most sold at the end of the night will be declared the winner.

And we’ll also have bottles of Esser’s Best from Cross Plains for $2.50.

So stop on by before or after the game. First pitch is at 7:00 p.m.
