National Beer Day 2026: Special Tappings at Bierock

Bierock is celebrating National Beer Day in 2026 with a pair of special tappings.

National Beer Day celebrates the passage of the Cullen–Harrison Act legalizing the sale of beer and leading to the repeal of prohibition in the United States.

Of our two special tappings, one is local and comes from the Chicagoland area.

Coming on the heels of their annual Barleywine Fest, we’re tapping a keg of Wheatwine by Madison’s own Giant Jones Brewing Company.

The brewery description is as follows…

This strong American Wheat Ale features notes of orange zest vanilla and medium bitterness. Nutty, bready malt character with a dry finish.

Wheatwine checks in at 10.4% ABV.

Then from beyond the borders of Wisconsin, we acquired a keg of Lizard King Pale Ale by Pipeworks Brewing.

The brewer’s description is found here…

Lizard King is light, crisp and refreshing. Mosaic hops make for one tropical, citrusy, and piney pale that gets our mojo risin’.

So there you go, two different beers, both very different styles. We got one sixth barrel of each of these beers, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

Bierock will still have its full food and drink menu available this day as well.
