On Wednesday December 10, Bierock is hosting Beer Bingo featuring Wisconsin’s own Central Waters.
It’s also a special occasion because it’s also National Lager Day. So yes, we’ll have Throwback Lager by Central Waters on tap!
Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts roughly two hours.
It’s free to play. Customers will receive a bingo card, good for several rounds. Prizes include various beer-related giveaways, brewery SWAG, free pours and other esoteric awards like B-movie DVDs and erotic novels.
A representative from Central Waters will be on hand to hand out samples, answer questions and socialize during the event.
Featured on Dec. 10 will be at least six beers on tap, including flagships, seasonals and pilot batch offerings. But we’ll make sure to have something hoppy, something light, something dark and something malty. And yes, of course, a lager!
Here’s the lineup and brewery descriptions for what we know what will be on tap…
Throwback Lager, Rustic American Lager—Transport yourself to Milwaukee’s brewing heyday with Milwaukee Throwback Lager, a tribute to the city’s rich lager tradition. Crafted with precision, it boasts a blend of Pilsner and Munich malts with classic noble hops for a refreshingly clean, crisp, drinkable experience. Enjoy a smooth Milwaukee Throwback Lager and be transported to simpler times, and imagine sharing a pint with the Captain himself.
Honey Dripper, Double IPA—This beer is quite a handful & a bit out of hand. On top of the heavy hand of hops, Acacia Honey, WI Cranberry Honey, & Raspberry Honey, were added at both the brewing side & fermentation side, this thing is absolutely loaded with hops & honey. The beer also features Briess’ American honey malt, adding a nice orange hue, backed by a heavy layering of wheat and oats. Tasting Notes : Floral stone fruit aromatics, honey candy, and dank peach juice, with a fluffy finish.
Mudpuppy, Nitro Porter—A robust, yet surprisingly refreshing porter, Mudpuppy is a favorite of dark beer lovers. Characterized by a thick, rocky head and luscious chocolate-like nose, the malty profile is balanced by liberal hopping for its style.
Call Me Old Fashioned, Barrel Aged Imperial Red Ale—An Imperial Red Ale brewed with cherries, a touch of bitters, and then aged in Brandy, Bourbon, and Orange Curaçao barrels. This is our take on an Old Fashioned, a true Wisconsin classic.
Truth in Action, West Coast IPA—This west coast IPA is everything you dream of when thinking about those bitter, dry IPAs.
After Slice, Mexican-Style Lager w/ Lime–We take the base of our Mexican style corn lager and add limes for extra crisp refreshment. It’s exactly like the flavor–after the slice!
Of course, we also have cans of Rift IPA in our cooler.
Beer Bingo takes place the second Wednesday of every month at Bierock as part of our Hump Day at Bierock series of events. Here’s the schedule…
