The Masters at Bierock: Pimento Cheese & Strick 9

A tradition unlike any other: Pimento cheese sandwiches during The Masters.

From Thursday April 10 through Sunday April 13, Bierock will serve the iconic pimento cheese sandwiches that are sold at the Masters and have become part of its lore.

It’s simple yet delectable. We spread our popular house-made pimento cheese—the same we serve with our pretzels—between two slices of bread. The perfect finger food.

Included are chips and a pickle.

For one day only, we put a twist on the pimento cheese sandwich by offering it as a Grilled Cheese. Our typical Thursday food special is a grilled cheese and soup combo with a cup for $7.75 or bowl for $10.

Meanwhile, the golf tournament will be on our big projection screen TV. So while you’re at Bierock, you can pretend you’re at Amen Corner at Augusta.

FEATURED BEER: STRICK9

Bierock has been making its pimento cheese sandwiches during the Masters for four years, but new in 2023 we’re also featuring District 1 Brewing Company in Stevens Point and specifically its golf-themed Strick9.

The beer is named after local golf pro Steve Stricker, the 12-time PGA Tour champion and former Ryder Cup captain.

Strick9 is an American pilsner checking in at 5.2% ABV and just 10 IBU.

Don’t forget that the first and second rounds will be wrapping up during Happy Hour at Bierock on Thursday Apr. 8 and Friday Apr. 9. From 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., customers will get $1 off all full-size alcoholic drinks.

Scottie Scheffler is the reigning champion, but he’ll have plenty of competition to win back the Green Jacket this year.

Located at 2911 N. Sherman Ave., Bierock is part of the Northside TownCenter and across the street from Warner Park.
