Bierock begins its celebration of American Craft Beer Week with a Bright vs. Dark featured tapping of Founders Brewing Company offerings.
Starting Tuesday May 13, we tap three kegs from Founders highlighting some very different styles.
On the bright side, we’ve got their Mortal Bloom Hazy IPA.
The description from the brewery says…
Mortal Bloom reminds us that you can find what you’re looking for in truly unusual places. This radiantly beautiful hazy IPA will wrap your tastebuds with intense citrus and tropical notes of pineapple and mango. The intense flavor is balanced by a soft mouthfeel, making Mortal Bloom incredibly flavorful and aromatic without any harsh aftertaste.
To balance things out, we’ve also got the venerable Founders Porter.

Pouring silky black with a creamy tan head, Porter gives off mild aromas of roasted coffee and dark chocolate complemented by low bitterness and a medium body. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence creating a graham cracker sweetness that needs to be tasted to be believed.
Also on the dark side, we’ve got the Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale with a malty richness checking in at 8.5% ABV.
