On Wednesday December 13, Bierock is hosting Beer Bingo featuring Bevy from Wisconsin Dells.
Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts roughly two hours.
It’s free to play. Customers will receive a bingo card, good for several rounds. Prizes include various beer-related giveaways, brewery SWAG, free pours and other esoteric awards like B-movie DVDs and erotic novels.
A representative from Bevy will be on hand to hand out samples, answer questions and socialize during the event.
Featured on Dec. 13 will be at least six beers, featuring multiple seasonal or rotating offerings. But we’ll make sure to have something light, something dark, something hoppy and something fruity.
Here’s the lineup and brewery descriptions for what we know what will be on tap…
- Jimmy Jorts, Juicy Pale Ale—Get juicy with Bevy’s top-selling delicious, hoppy, fruity Pale Ale. ….. This easy to drink Pale Ale is bursting at the seams with tropical hop aroma and citrus fruits like mango and grapefruit. It pours a light orange color with a tight head. Balanced, refreshing, very sessionable… and always welcome at the party! Just like Jimmy Jorts.
- Kong’s Barrel Aged Stout, Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout—Kong’s Garage Band, bourbon barrel aged in a special brew. ….. The original Kong’s Garage Band nested quietly in a five gallon Kings County bourbon barrel for several months in preparation for enjoying at Dells Rare Barrel ’23.
- Verjus Sour, Grape-Based Sour Wheat Ale—Bevy’s refreshing combination of sour green grapes and wheat ale. ….. Wheat+Verjus+Sabro+Cashmere+El Dorado= “Verjus Sour” Bevy’s Chief Fermentation Officer has been planning this creation for years. Like many of the brews from Bevy… this beer combines the CFO’s passion for beer and wine. Wisconsin grapes were harvested early, pressed to produce Verjus (or “green juice”) and fermented with a wheat forward brew. Mildly acidic with notes of green grapes, tropical fruits, and beer!
- Punch Out Pils, Czech-Style Pilsner—You worked hard today. Why limit happy to an hour? ….. Your refreshing, done for the day pilsner. Grains include German Pilsner malt enhanced with a touch of Light Crystal Malt. Hops include Saaz for traditional spicy/herbal Pilsner character and Callista for a fresh take on Pilsner, adding subtle elements of citrus and stone fruit. 20 IBUs. Crisp with a hint of honey and sweetness on the palate.
- Port Huron, Honey Blonde Ale—A Port Huron tradition continues with this classic honey blonde ale. ….. This easy-drinking straightforward blonde ale should be approachable for both the seasoned vets and newcomers alike! Wisconsin honey and beer… you can’t go wrong. This is the first tip of the cap from Bevy to everyone who had something to do with Port Huron Brewing Company. Please enjoy responsibly and be sure to reflect on all the good times had at PHBC!
- Otter Lodge, Brown Ale—Brown ales were always the top seller at every Otter Lodge we’d been to, from here to Germany… So we dialed one up for ourselves! Fermented with kolsch yeast for smooth character, Mt. Hood and Saaz hops on the finish, and primarily UK Maris Otter Malt, with some pale chocolate and roasted malts for mild flavor. Lightly fruity from the yeast with subtle notes of chocolate and coffee.
